Skills Challenges: Event will be organized by grade band: K-2, 3rd-5th and 6th-8th. K-2 activities will take place in the gym. For the older kids (3rd-8th), in each of the skills events, the top 4 players advance to the next round. The top 2 players advance to the final round. Winner crowned 2025 Champion!
Penalty Kick Contest (Soccer): Players take 5 shots from the Penalty Line.
Long Shot Contest (Soccer): Players take 5 shots from the Long-Shot Line.
Free Throw Contest (Basketball): Players take 5 shots from the free-throw line (modified height for younger players).
3-Point Contest (Basketball): Players take 5 shots from beyond the 3-point line (or a modified distance/height for younger players).
Hot Shot Contest (Basketball & Soccer): Players get 30 seconds to shoot from different marked spots on the court/field, each worth different points.
Champions Tournament: Teams of 5 to 6 players (1 substitute optional). Single-game elimination. 7-minute games (or 1st team to score a certain number of points). Referees will be there to manage the game. Winner Crowned 2025 Lea Community 5-on-5 Tournament Champions. Gift Card Prize!
Waiver & Consent: At the event, parents will need to sign a waiver to give permission for the child to voluntarily participate in the Lea Madness Spring Fundraiser Basketball and Soccer Event. Participation in sports carries inherent risks, and the event organizers, sponsors, and Henry C. Lea Elementary School are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the event.
