  1. Welcome and introductions

  2. Updates from Principal Gerwer

    1. STAR assessments completed, MTSS meetings to begin

    2. PD: iReady and Achieve 3000 on 10/7

    3. Interim reports forthcoming

    4. Upcoming parent supports:

      1. 10/18 ELA parent workshop,

      2. 10/25 Math parent workshop

      3. 11/1 relationship building parent workshop

    5. Leveling: no impact this year, may get 2 additional Para-educators

    6. Rich Liuzzi update

      1. Upcoming volunteer orientations:

        1. Thursday, 10/6, 7-8:30 PM, https://upenn.zoom.us/j/9967328100

        2. Friday, 10/7 from 1-2:30, in-person in Computer Lab

        3. Need to have clearances on file

  4. New Lea gear (swag) inventory manager – Denise Napper (yay!)

  5. November Book Fair planning (Rachael G.)

    1. Dates and times - week of November 21

    2. Volunteer roles needed - Rachael will send out sign up sheet for volunteers

      1. Providing baked goods for sale (please provide ingredient list, no nuts and no sesame)

      2. Staffing the fair (set up, helping kids find books, cashier, breakdown)

    3. Current balance of $1,000 Scholastic dollars towards one book for every student

    4. Room 111- books to donate for giveaways during Book Fair (Rachael will get these on Friday)

  6. New Projects

    1. How to spend funds raised in August - Brainstorm!

      1. Specials teachers

        1. Carry bags/ containers for Specials located on 3rd floor

        2. Art supplies (maybe less necessary since Ms. Wood gets a specific budget for supplies each year)

      2. Teacher’s Lounge love

        1. Potential Church partnership support, Steph

        2. Need teacher feedback on what would make this a nice space

        3. Could use a coffee maker, furniture, paint job

      3. Shelving options for classrooms

      4. Supporting paraeducators? Megan will stop by PD on Friday to talk with them.

      5. Bench, seating, stumps in playground

        1. 2 cement discs already exist; not far enough apart for a bench

    2. Gardening Group, Alicia Cobb, Mrs. Cesarini

      1. Current management

        1. Spruce St garden, Philadelphia Orchard Project. Come once a week

        2. Rain garden and garden surrounded by fencing, SDP Greening Efforts people. Not consistent maintenance

        3. Garden along Basketball court, parents have been managing

        4. Field, secret garden and tree: Netter Center used to manage but no one in last 2 years has supported

          1. Sod costs - could we purchase and lay sod?

    3. Additional fundraiser projects? If you have ideas, please let us know!
