Save the Book Fair!
Our Scholastic Book Fair dates are May 8 & 9th. The Scholastic Book Fair is a fun Lea tradition in which every Lea class comes to purchase new books. To make the fair fun for everyone, Lea HSA has previously used profits from previous fairs, small local grants and generous family donations to provide every child with a voucher to purchase a book of their choice.
This year, the Book Fair is in trouble. We are short on funds to ensure every child receives a book, and are short on manpower to make sure the fair is set up, staffed and broken down each day. We are in danger of having to cancel the book fair.
If you care about the book fair, we need your help. Can you man a shift or two, or make a donation to provide books for kids? If so, we thank you in advance.

Show your love for Lea Faculty & Staff!
Lea HSA is collecting items to fill out our Lea Teacher & Staff Appreciation baskets! These baskets will be raffled off the week of May 5th. Every staff member at Lea will receive 5 tickets to distribute among raffle baskets!
We will put together at least 5 gorgeous baskets for our our staff. In the past, we've had rest & relaxation, Lea Love, Sweet Tooth, Coffee & Tea Lover, Afternoon Pick-Me-Up, Gourmet Chef, Classroom Essentials and Philadelphia Love baskets. The sky is the limit!
Families can contribute any items they wish to baskets! Candles, hand lotions, stationary, school supplies, gift cards and vouchers, gourmet foods or kitchen items, Philadelphia items, snuggly blankets, hand warmers, coffee mugs, artwork and more are *all* welcome. If you think a teacher or staff member would appreciate it, we'll include it in a basket!
We also need basket making supplies --- baskets, ribbon, paper grass, cellophane, etc.
